I am just a user with a few questions about Portable Chrome's "Application Shortcuts" feature.
I want to know two things:
1)Can you make the shortcuts part of the PortableApps menu instead of the local machine desktop?
2)Can you make the shortcuts appear on different machine desktops once created in the data folder?
Any insight would be appreciated. I searched the forum for an answer to this question, but I could not find any reference to a similar problem. Please, if you know of a post already in progress regarding this problem, point me towards it.
Thank you!
You can't use them portably. It's just not possible.

That's unfortunate:( Thank you for responding so quickly!
I didn't even think about those at all. :X
You probably could do it but you would have to make your own shortcut files. Windows shortcuts don't work because they point to a specific drive letter. However any portable launcher that lets you define your own shortcuts should work. Just copy the info from the windows shortcut and strip off the drive letter and :. In theory this should work.
Oh yeah, you need to point it to GoogleChromePortable.exe instead of chrome.exe
Signature automatically removed for being too awesome.
Despite doing as you suggest, I can't get it to work in the most recent build.
