ooo 2.0.2 is slow for me, but i am desperately waiting fo portable ooo 2.0.3, which is claimed to have performance improvements.

John will get to this soon I'm sure so need to be patient, and this program is a *big* one to work on. Looks to be interesting...
Since I had some time, I decided to try upgrading from 2.0.2...used an automated script someone wrote (MozCompressor) to compress OO 2.0.3 exe and dll, as well as the jar, files, used the portable OO 2.0.2 launcher files, and carefully sorted the OO files into the same directory structure that portable OO 2.0.2 uses. This worked, with one caveat (at least with my setup): Compressing of the jar files caused the Wizards programs that use Java to fail...I had to put uncompressed JAR files back in all locations (whether or not they were Wizard related, to be safe...not that many), which fixed this problem.
There is a setting in there that involves cache that I am not sure if it should be set a certain way for being portable, but then I can wait for John to do the update.
This is too much work!
