How do i access PortableApps Platform and Portable Apps if choosing any of them via the platform or manually results in an "open with" menu?
This might have to do with me recently being attacked by awe.exe, an annoying fake virus scanner which actualli restricted my access to the internet on a computer browser and caused Portable Mozilla Firefox to crash every time i loaded it up.

Grab the "Platform only"-install from here and install it to your drive. All your settings will be preserved and you should have the clean exes.
Other than the exe files being corrupted, it could be a problem with your PC due to the virus attack. Maybe he doesn't recognise certain exe files the right way.

i considered both options
I grabbed the platform only but all exes still didnt work
then i noticed that all exes (other than portable apps) didnt work so i fixed the registry for recognising exes. Thanx for the advice!
