Application: Zaz
Category: Games
Description:
Zaz is a game where the player has to get rid of incoming balls by arranging them in triplets. The idea of the game is loosely based on games like Luxor, Zuma and Puzzle Bobble. The twists that make Zaz stand out from other games of this type are that the balls have to be picked from the path (instead of being randomly assigned for the player) and that the player's "vehicle" is also attached to a path which is different from level to level.

Typos:
Title should be "Zaz Portable 0.7.0 Develpoment 1"
Download should be listed as "Download Zaz Portable 0.7.0 Development Test 1"
And you should fix your unordered lists.
Sorry Chris, title is still wrong. I copy+pasted it and was going to include a "=>" pointing to the corrected string, but decided against it and didn't fix the typo. (Develpoment => Development)
Didn't notice that, I thought you must have meant Development Test.

Nice of all of you to catch all my mistakes, would have learned more though if you had allowed me to fix them because I really do not know other than the typo on development what the issues were. I wish though I had gotten actual feedback as to the program but hey a post is a post. Must be humbling to be so perfect

Works on XP SP2 and XP SP3. Works both with and without admin privileges.
No files were left behind! (it's clean)
No relevant registry entries were left behind! (it's clean)
Note: I haven't tried the "Export video" option (available when you finish a level) in neither of my tests, so I can't tell how you handled that...
Now, my reports wouldn't feel right if there weren't some bugs involved...
I noticed one bug (not portability related): In the main menu, when you change volume (applies to Music), it still plays music in the menu, as if nothing has changed. Once you enter the game, the music volume is as you set it to be, but only while playing (while you're in a level). Once you exit to the main menu, the music volume restores and is as before you played. It's annoying if a user wishes the game to be quieter, but it's only quiet in-level, while in the main menu it gets loud again... Please try to reproduce, and contact the developer about the oversight.
Reproducing:
- start Zaz
- go to "Options"
- decrease the "Music volume", click "Apply"
- the music will continue to play.

Will try and thanks to be honest my speakers are usually off as I have a headset always connected so would not have noticed

Let me know if this is still an issue with the newest release? I finally located the save info and it appears to save the changes now but would appreciate you checking.

That issue existed with versions 0.7 and 0.8, but it seems to be fixed now. Congrats on another official release

settings\.zaz=%APPDATA%\.zaz
; that would be neater asappdata=%APPDATA%\.zaz
, I think; it's not worth changing now with this (and putting custom code in the installer to rename settings\.zaz to appdata), just nicer for next time (flat is better than nested). The names don't have to match.John's just preparing this for release so this report is mainly for him but I think vf2nsr should find it helpful too.

Since I read that I needed a 128 icon I included it guess did not do such a great job?
John when and if this goes official I will need to provide the new page link to the original author? Or can you re-direct this page to that one? Also once an app is official what is my responsibility as to update etc.... You can email me the answer if you like.
