Para el instalar el diccionario en Castellano (Español de México o España)anda a este enlace o link:
http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/dictionaries.html
Instala el .xpi como cualquier otra extensión.
Ojo: esto sólo es para los que usan el programa en otro idioma que no sea castellano, por ejemplo usamos el programa en inglés y queremos instalar otro idioma, seguimos las indicaciones.

To install the spanish dictionary (Méjico and Spain version, choose the appropiate) in the Thunderbird (Portable or not) follow the link to download the plugin (the link is above).
Install the .xpi as and usual extension.
