i think UT is GPL so it could be done.
Also did you bother searching as i am sure there might be one in the beta testing area.

Believe it or not, but I've already got it part done, if it hasn't already been picked up by anyone else.
It's another really big one at around 1Gb installed, but looks like a relatively straight conversion job.

+1 to mjashby!!!!
Just doing some 'final' installation testing. Will, hopefully have it uploaded to Sourceforge and posted here tomorrow (Saturday)

Did you get permission to take this over from LOGAN-Portable?
His current Launcher is downloadable from members.home.nl/albartus/portable.
For the app download "4.1.1 zip file for Mac & Linux" from Get.UrbanTerror.info, and extract it into the App folder.

I've taken a look at the game launchers created by LOGAN-portable but they are now around 3 years old and don't come up to current PA.c Format specs. Also, they require the user to download the games separately and merge files manually. Some of the launchers were also created for versions of games which are now out of date and there is no guarantee that they will work correctly with the most recent versions of games where this is the case.
I've already done some independent work on several of the games in LOGAN-portable's launcher list, but I will now double-check to see if we reached the same conclusions on which files need to be taken care of for full portability. I'd also be happy to credit LOGAN-portable as appropriate and, if he is still active and wants to take ownership/future maintenance of the full versions, I'd be more than happy to hand back.
For now, I've managed to upload a full Urban Terror Development Test to Sourceforge after 4 days of trying, so will post this for user testing. Coincidentally, I've also just completed a Tremulous Development Test, so will check my version against the Launcher created in 2008 before I consider posting.
Mervyn
I really think that you should have asked him first, and if he didn't respond within a reasonable amount of time then this would be the perfect compromise.
But oh well, what's done is done.
Anyway now we (the PortableApps community) get an updated version, and LOGAN-Portable can take it back if he still wants it; and that's as good as it's going to get without time-travel ;).

I did post a couple blanket requests for developers of outdated Development Tests and Pre-Releases to update to the latest format and version or at least post a note in the thread for their software stating that they would do so. These were included in the weekly status updates posted to the homepage, site header and RSS.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I think I remember something like that now that I think about it, sorry.
(though I still think it best for one who is planning to take over an app to be polite and ask first even if it is an old one which due to the blanket requests is kind of up for grabs)
So how old does a DevTest have to be before it's up for grabs? or what date does it's last update have to be before? (of course barring apps which the Dev states that he/she is working on.)
