What am I missing here? I would like to send a PM or email to another member of the forum in answer to a question he posted, but would like to give him a personal and private answer (solution) to his question.
Does this forum not support PMs or emails to other members.
If so, then what is the work around to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.
We don't support doing that and do not have any plans to support it at present. If you have a solution, you should probably either be posting it publicly or not answering it at all. Why don't you want to post it publicly?

Thanks for the reply,
In answer to your question "Why don't you want to post it publicly?"
On further consideration I have concluded that my first thoughts on that were perhaps a bit silly. I was concerned my "solution" if it were to be known by the developer that he may in future versions of his software plug the workaround I had come up with.
Perhaps a dumb thought on my part.
I am now thinking that in any case that would be very difficult if not impossible to accomplish (stopping the workaround) and the developer perhaps couldn't care less.
I have since posted my findings related to the question in this post: https://portableapps.com/node/24590 here: https://portableapps.com/node/28280
In any case, If you check out my post: https://portableapps.com/node/28280 I have just recently had some further thoughts as to how good my "solution" really is. It may or may not be a truly effective solution.
BTW, I found the specific person who originally posted the question on Twitter & Facebook but his accounts are "private" & I doubt I will request to be a "follower" or a "friend". He will either see my post or not.
PM in chat.
