uTorrent 3.1 Build 26616 refuses to run

Is anyone else getting the error "Another instance of uTorrent Portable is currently closing. Please wait for it to finish before launching again."? I can go to the uTorrentPortable\Apps\uTorrent directory and run uTorrent.exe, just fine, but the loader refuses to load, even after a fresh reboot. This problem first appeared when I upgraded from the previous version, to this one. Anyone have an idea how to fix this??? Thanks...

Del

Delete the file Data\PortableApps.comLauncherRuntimeData-uTorrentPortable.ini.

Previously known as kAlug.

You rock...

That did it. You rock! So what happened? I'm assuming that file became corrupted? Anyway, thanks again... Biggrin

Bad Shutdown

This happens when things aren't shutdown properly. Either the drive pulled without closing the app or Windows shutdown force-closing it. Or one of those silly 3rd party ejection utilities that force-closes (aka crashes) all your running apps.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Ah...

Ok that makes sense. Windows on my netbook is problematic. Thanks for the explanation. Now I know what to look for if (when) it happens again. Peace..
