Portable (open source) Font Editor

Hi,

Would there be any free PA or non PA.com font editors available or one suitable for packaging?

Thanks

Hi Horus I was aware of that

Hi Horus

I was aware of that but it needs to be compiled and unfortunately I've not done that in my lifetime as of yet, so if there is something simple I can do to make my own binary I'd appreciate knowing what is likely to you second nature.

Regards

Inkscape has a font editor in it.

The interface needs some work, and the only available template so far does have all the guides set up - but it kind of works. You create SVG fonts with it, but there are a number of fontkit converters that then allow you to convert it to ttf or whatever you need. I know that the original developer is currently working on improving the font editor via extensions, and it is on the list of goals for Inkscape 0.49.
It's likely you will see this done before anybody does a truly good FontForge Portable.

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.

Hi solanus

I downloaded that program, and it looks like an impressive editor, but of course it won't import a ttf or woff file, and any conversion from those formats does not produce anything tangible in the editor unfortunately however I do see an area where the unicode entries are available so it seems the application is aware at least (glyph wise).

Thank you
