CintaNotes

Hi all,

I'm an author of a free notetaking app called CintaNotes.

Users on the forum are asking for my app to be available within the
PortableApps.com bundle.

Wanted to ask what is necessary for that and how it is decided if an app is worth including or not?
Right now the app already has a portable version (and will always have), so I guess
getting it within the bundle won't be that difficult.
Soon a commercial version of the app will be released, but there will always be a free version as well (freemium model).
Please advise me what is necesarry to do in order to sumbit CintaNotes for inclusion into the bundle.
Thanks!

Clarification

Can you clarify what you mean by "freemium"?

Would you like us to prep a package, or would rather we give you guidance on doing it yourself?

Thanks for a swift

Thanks for a swift reply!

Under "Freemium" I mean that some advanced features will be available only after buying a license, but the essential functions (which will include all those which are available in the current version) will be completely free.
ManicTime is an example of an app which uses the same model. There will be no nag screens and no in-your-face ads, just a "Help/License" dialog where you can select which license you'd like to use.

Do I understand correctly that you are authorized to decide if an app can be included into the disribution?
I don't really know which way is better, since I don't know what "prepping a package" really entails and how the release cycle of PortableApps bundle is organized. I think I'd prefer the people with experience to do it, lest I mess up something Wink
Here is a link to the latest (portable) version of the app.

Thanks a lot!

Sort of

First off, thanks for the explanation.

Secondly, I am a developer here, and will gladly put together a package for you. Gimme a couple days. Once I post a development test, it'll get tested, but the final decision on whether we officially release it will rest with John T. Haller. However, the fact that you, as the original developer, are asking for it to be released here bodes very well for it to get included.
