Hello and thanks for your help.
My problem: I really would like to switch to LO, yet I tweaked OO to my needs. Is there any way I can migrate all my settings from OO to LO?

Even though LibreOffice was born of OpenOffice, and looks similar, there has been a lot of code rewrite behind the scenes, and each new version takes it further away.
My personal preference would be to manually copy the settings - you should be able to open OpenOffice Portable and LibreOffice Portable side by side to compare, or you can use screenshots. Also, I would use LibreOffice Extensions instead of trying to re-use my OpenOffice ones.
I Googled "migrating from OpenOffice to LibreOffice" and saw a significant number of stories of people trying to copy user profiles and various files to migrate all their settings at once - with more bad results than good.
While manually retyping your settings is tedious, it does give you an opportunity to evaluate your tweaks and change or remove customizations you no longer need - and it has less chance of breaking LibreOffice.
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
Fortunately, the two most tedious parts may be upgraded semi-automatically.
1. Open your copy of OpenOffice; go through Writer and all programmes. Export both the common shortcuts and the program-specific ones.
2. Close OpenOffice.
3. Open your user profile and find the models you have customized. Copy them in your LibreOffice user profile (under a similar path).
4. Open LibreOffice. Import both the common shortcuts and the program-specific ones.
5. For each of the programs you have a custom model, open that model and define it as default.
