I myself find it useful even if I only have a few apps installed as the starter for the platform is inside the root of the drive and I dont have to go searching for the launcher for my app (start.exe versus /PortableApps/ThunderbirdPortable/ThunderbirdPortable.exe)
Besides that I like the additional features of the platform (backup and updater).
But in the end it comes down wether you yourself find it useful. If you don't, use it differently.

OK, thanks. But then the Platform is not so usefull if I only have 2 portable apps on my usb-stick (browser and emailclient). Is that correct?
Still useful for keeping your apps up to date with the built in updater.
