Root level applications in Portable Apps Menu

I have found an application (Mowes Portable) which I really like but it needs to run on the root level of the usb. This as far as I know means that the .exe can not be inserted into the portableapps menu. Is there any way of linking this application into the menu? I tried simply creating a windows shortcut and inserting that into a folder in the proper directory in the portableapps drive, but this was apparently too simple. Any help would be appreciated. Moderators please feel free to place this into a more appropriate location if necessary.

If it is simply impossible to

If it is simply impossible to not run it from root even using the Launcher, then you could leave the stuff at root and make a launcher that would show in the menu that launched the root app. This is how XAMPP works.

Mowes.exe?

Is it a file called Mowes.exe that you run from the root?

For similar functionality without the root restriction, you can also use XAMPP which we support more directly here.

The ability to manually add things from outside is coming shortly to the platform.

Link

I created a link you can use in the menu for now. Just download this zip file and place the MowesLink.exe anywhere that the menu will find it (example: X:\PortableApps\MowesLink). You can rename it as you see fit. The source code is included.
