LibreOffice Portable won't run from CD

I'm using LO 3.5.3.2 and Win XP Home SP3.

I followed instructions on the support page to run LibreOffice Portable from a CD. I installed it on a hard drive, ran it a few times to generate default and custom settings, and then burned the whole directory structure to a CD.

When I try to start it from CD, the splash screen opens, and the progress bar advances until "Synchronizing repository for shared extensions" appears. Then it closes due to:
Fatal Error
The application cannot be started.
[X:\PROGRAMS\libreoffice\App\libreoffice\program\..\..\..\Data\settings\user\extensions\shared\extensions.db] Berkeley DB error (0): Db::open:
Operation not permitted

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

May No Longer Work

It may no longer work. It was supported when OpenOffice.org was using a custom launcher, but I honestly don't know if it works with LibreOffice anymore. I'd wager LibreOffice simply doesn't quite work with the tricks we use to get things working from CD anymore.

Unfortunately, that may not change as there is little interest in 'live' apps from CD and DVD these days now that optical drives are dying out. I know I have bigger fish to fry in terms of my development time. I'm not sure if someone else would like to take a look at it.

On the other hand, you could try removing lots of the extensions as it could simply be a specific one that's breaking it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Even with no extensions

I removed all the extensions, but get the same Fatal Error.

Thanks anyway.
