I've uninstalled Thunderbird Portable, I've reinstalled it, I've set up my settings a hundred times and the next time I try to use it it won't even open.
It may be a bigger issue with Portableapps which seems to require me to repair the flashdrive every time I put it in.

Are you closing down your apps and safe ejecting your drive? If not, that's the issue, you're corrupting files on the drive.
If you are, then something is either wrong with the drive or the USB port. Try a different port (or better, computer) or a different drive.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

So aside from training myself to behave, should I reinstall portable apps from the getgo?
Cant hurt. And all your data will be preserved.
