Hi,
Is it possible to make a special version with irfanview's misc components ?
I use often jpg_transform.dll in thumbnails' windows to make a JPG lowless rotation with my files.
Thanks a lot for your work

Are you asking for the plugins? If so, you can install them using this package, which is linked from the IrfanView Portable page.
Thank you
Maybe we should move those up the page so they are more prominent. Since we have a few apps with add-ons, maybe a small Add-Ons listing a bit below Download perhaps.

on this point. I'm a long time Irfanview user (since Win98, at least), and even I didn't see it when I downloaded Irfanview Portable.

Maybe a smaller download button immediately below the main download for add-ons?
Could you also consider adding them to the update list?

Only apps and shared addons (Java) are listed in the app store and auto-updated. We may add the ability to be able to update app-specific addons in the future but it will require updating the PA.c Format spec, the installer and the updater/app store to do so.

Irfan releases updated versions of the plugins (to fix security vulnerabilities etc) at irregular intervals after the last stable pack of plugins is released. The full plugin installer is not updated though - the plugins are updated individually. I assume the PAF plugins pack is not updated? And how would the platform handle this if the ability to update addons was added to it?
There have been 8 individual plugins updated since v4.33 was released - this is normal for IrfanView, it's not something that has only happened for v4.33 I mean. See the 'plugins updated after' section:

The same as IrfanView does. We'd only release a new plugin pack when they do (generally only with releases of the base app). And the updater will only detect when that add-on (the whole plugin pack) is updated. For lots of little add-ons, the app itself should be detecting when things are out of date and offering to update them ala Firefox's extensions.

As those plugins are available in zip format, you can update them easily by unzipping the plugins in the same location as the current plugin.
Indeed, as I expected the answers would be - I just wanted to make 100% sure though. Thanks John, thanks Gord.
