I'm a total n00b when it comes to the coding of portable apps, so I'm not sure what's wrong with Minecraft Portable.
What I mean is there is a Minecraft Portable in the development page, and I use it often. I was just wondering why it isn't official, what's wrong with it, and if it can be made into a portable app at all.

There are a lot of development test apps that work perfectly but still aren't official, for various reasons.
Isn't Minecraft pay-to-play now? Which would mean the portable version is an older launcher from when it was free. Outdated apps generally won't make it to official unless there is a technical reason to not update to the latest version (such as the .NET requirement for Keepass 2.x, IcoFX 2.x is a paid app, or major bugs in the newest release of the app).
You can get the launcher for free. You need a paid account to update the .jar, classes, etc. The launcher almost never gets updated, so I think it won't ever need to be updated once it's made official.
This can be compared to the Mana World client, which does all of the updates for the game within the client. It doesn't get updated on the site, but new classes and areas are downloaded on start-up every so often.
we've been trying to work with Mojang on this but to no success so an official one may be a long ways away until Mojang gives us permission

Minecraft is NOT NECESSARILY a pay to play game. THERE ARE WRONGLY NAMED "CRACKED" EXE'S OUT THERE but i dub them non-premium access game executables and i would really like to see the "cracked" minecraft made portable

1. download (duhh)
2. cut or copy to your thumb drive or portable device
3. copy and paste to the desktop you want
4. run the desktop Icon, make a name, and click enter game
5. PLAY! (BTW it updates with the game, just click force update box)
