Microsoft Office is a strange beast when it comes to installing on a removable drive. There are ways of doing it and some shady sites that probably have ready to go versions. But, that being said, both OpenOffice.org Portable and LibreOffice Portable are great alternatives for most of the office suite. Personally, I'd go with LibreOffice, since they forked off from OpenOffice a while ago when Oracle bought out Sun. Happy apping!
