Hi
Has anyone had issues upgrading apps with v 11.2?
Platform informs of new apps but is unable to download them.
At the moment, uTorrent, xmPlay and Skype wont download from Sourceforge.
New: DesktopSnowOK (Jan 6, 2025), Platform 29.5.3 (Jun 27, 2024)

You likely have the screen-reader option selected in the platforms options.
When that is the case, you need to ctrl-click the apps you want updated. The easiest fix is to uncheck that option, and you should be able to update your apps again. If not, please let us know.
looks like it is not the platform.
I try to manually DL the PAF files from the www.portableapps.com and it replies "web site unavailable"
I have randomly tried others (aMSN etc and they work)
So far, Skype, xmPlay and utorrent seem to be broken
which country are you in?
Sourceforge is US-based, and as such, has some rules regarding exporting encryption technology to certain countries, and as many of our apps are hosted by SourceForge, and some include encryption technology, all downloads to those countries are blocked automatically by sourceforge. See here for more details.
Of course, that may not be the problem at all. Is there any more detail in the message you receive?
I'm in Canada and it has never been a problem updating these applications in the past.
uTorrent was updated about 3 weeks ago and no longer can update?.
As an example, here is the URL for Skype direct from the portableapps site. No Sourceforge involved
Does it work for you?

It works just fine. If it didn't, we'd have thousands of complaints in the forums. Are you using some sort of antivirus of firewall which may be malfunctioning? None of our software is configured to show a "web site unavailable" error message.
