Hey guys,
I love love love Toucan so far, and I have my first question!
Does anybody know how to see detailed progress information? So far I just see the "Progress" window with all the "Compressing [some file]", or telling me its making a list of files, or whatever, and a green bar up top.
I would like to be able to see details like:
- Time spent so far
- Estimated time remaining
- Total files to examine
- Total files examined
- Total files remaining to examine
- Total files backed up
- Total files not backed up
- % Complete
etc etc etc .... Just enough details that I can feel like I know when the backup might be done, instead of leaving it up on my screen indefinitely and hoping for the best, lol.
Okay I have a feeling this isn't implemented for sure, so if it isn't could we please add it to our wishlist:
The detailed progress area could also say general progress, such as "Stage 1 of X - Making File List" or "Stage X of X - Testing Files". That would be great. It took me a long time to realize what stage I was on because the green arrow (refresh?) on the middle-right doesn't seem to be doing anything right now.
for the suggestions, there are some underlying changes in 3.1 (the next release) that should make more progress window improvements possible so I'll add these to the list.
Thanks for your reply. Toucan is great. I'm having a blast trying to get to know it.
