Program: Podcast Integrated Application
License: >
Description:
The portable application should provide complete support for Podcast management. The main portion lacking in the Portable Receivers available currently is they use existing application for playing the Podcast.
There is plenty an integrated Podcast Manager can provide, yet mainly I want to listen to PodCasts from within the app. A potential work around would be providing an installation which included a Portable PodCast Receiver, Audio Player and Video Player which are configures so the PodCast Receiver uses the players instead of the systems default players.
PodCast Features:
-> Receiver Features == Similar features to the available receivers, to include but not limited to:
...Add/Change/Delete PodCast Subscriptions
...gPodder.net Integration
...Search capabilities
...Offline Directory of PodCasts
-> Playback Features == Similar features to media players, to include but not limited to:
...Audio Playback
...Video Playback
...Tracking Playback Habits == PodCasts listened to most, PodCasts w/greatest % Listened (# Listened/# Available), etc.
...Ability to playback the Audio portion of a Video Podcast
...Burning Capabilities
-> Integrated Features:
...Playback Position == stores the position from the previous playback and allows the option to continue from the position by default or by request when restarting a podcast
...Podcast Recommendations == provide suggestions based on the Playback Habits & Current subscriptions.

PodCast Receivers are under the Internet directory

I attempted the following Portable Apps dealing with PodCasts:
-> Juice v2.22
JuiceReceiver.SourceForge.net
https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/juice_portable
-> gPodder v3.4.0
www.gPodder.org
https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/gpodder_portable
Does anyone know how to configure gPodder to use the following Portable Apps?
==> Audio :: CoolPlayer+
==> Video :: SMPlayer
Under gPodder's Preferences\General tab there are options to provide a command to play both Audio and Video playback.
