Hi all,
We have a custom build of firefox that we give to our clients. Today I've been trying to build it with portable firefox 19 (the latest, as of 03/21/13), but functionality that's there with the current release (built with portable firefox 18) is missing with the 19 build.
This is probably best communicated with a screenshot, here's what the build with portable firefox 18 looks like (with nav and ssl buttons outlined in red)

And here's a screenshot of the build with portable ff 19:

As you can see the outlined parts from the 18 screenshot are missing.
Both 18 and 19 custom builds are built with the same userChrome.css (no changes were made to userChrome.css) and I tried building the 19 one with the FirfoxPortable nsi script that comes with 19, as well as the nsi script that we used for 18, but same result with both (missing nav functionality per the second screenshot)
Does anyone know how to make these buttons appear (with 19)? Has the default settings for these things changed between 18 and 19?
Thanks for any help with this.
It's likely a change in Firefox 19 itself and not a portable issue. Have you tried it with your custom build running locally?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi John, thanks for your response, yes I am running the build locally. I've asked the same question on the Firefox support forum on mozilla, I'll update if I get a response from them.
