Apache OpenOffice 4.0

Hello!

Rob Weir, as the representative of the Apache OpenOffice Project Management Committee, already posted in the AOO 3.4 thread that there are not legal issues or other obstacles. The Apache approval is given already. It's just a matter of PortableApps.com resources. John told in several other threads that "the ball is in his court", but that he is too busy at the moment. So we just have to wait a little bit for AOO getting "PortableApps"ed.

Kind regards

Carsten

No Approval

He posted that Apache is interested and the former GPL-resistance is gone. But we still need to put a build together and work with them on the trademark treatments ('portable' on splash, where to place, PA.c logo, etc) and get that approved before releasing. I can't just put a build together and release it. I have to put a private test together and they have to review it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Apology

Hello John!

I feel sorry for my inaccuracy. I greatly appreciate all your efforts and wish I would have the knowledge and enough spare time to help you. The concept of PortableApps is really helpful to me.

Thank you for the clarification.

Kind regards

Carsten
