Greetings Translators! We're going to be pushing out an update to the PA.c Installer and PA.c Platform this Thursday, so we wanted to give our translators a few days to polish any remaining issues from their strings. Our current set of languages that were complete for 12.0.5 are still complete and likely need no changes. This includes: Armenian, Basque, Bulgarian, Czech, Dutch, English, EnglishGB, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese Brazilian, Slovak, Slovenian, Turkish. Portuguese is using the new strings from Portuguese Brazilian so could likely use some refinement. The remaining locales have had machine generated translations added where available to round things out but definitely need a work through by a native speaker. These include: Afrikaans, Arabic, Bosnian, Catalan, Croatian, Danish, Esperanto, Estonian, Farsi, Finnish, Galician, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, Icelandic, Igbo, Indonesian, Irish, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Mongolian, Norwegian, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, SimpChinese, Swahili, Swedish, Thai, TradChinese, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Welsh, Yoruba We also have some neglected locales in need of full or nearly full translation: Breton, Cibemba, Efik, Kurdish, Luxembourgish, Malagasy, NorwegianNynorsk, Pashto, SerbianLatin, Uzbek, Valencian I've posted a test PA.c Platform installer as well as a test Google Chrome Portable online installer so you can see all of the current strings in action. You can get both as well as the current string set from the PA.c Installer 3.0 and Platform Installer 12.0 Translations page. I'll push out any strings updated by translators tomorrow afternoon and then again Wednesday morning (NYC time) for further review. We'll likely be releasing the new PA.c Installer and next platform update on Thursday with all of these strings included. And, as a bonus, we should be able to begin using an online system for translation shortly. We're building a couple custom conversion utilities to get strings into/out of popular online systems that don't support our exact translation formats (NSH include files and UTF-16LE aren't supported by transifex and others). But we'll soon be able to move files to and from our formats with minimal effort, allowing translators to work on and test files in progress. I'll keep you all in the loop on progress. One last note, we've been remiss in updating the PA.c Team Page with our new translators for 12.0, so if you notice your name isn't on the page yet, just reply and drop a note back with your PA.c Username and your full name for use on the team page. Thanks again for all your help! |
