Firefox Developer Portable edition does not install

The FirefoxDeveloperPortable installation program is a stub which then retrieves the required files during the installation routine (similar to Google Chrome and Skype portable editions). However, when I just tried to install it, I got a 404 error reflecting a failure to find the latest version of the Firefox Developer Edition online.

Is this a temporary condition, or otherwise easy to fix?

Temporary on Version Changes

It happens whenever the version changes. Firefox stable comes out, then ESR comes out. Some days later, the aurora, beta, and developer channels all change. As the aurora and developer portable editions download directly, those will fail from the point that it changes to when we update it. Unfortunately, there is no announcement when it is available nor an RSS or similar feed we can monitor that I'm aware of. It just shows up on the FTP server and the old versions disappear. We can't package the aurora or dev versions directly as they're updated on a daily basis.

When you notice this happen in the future, you can report it in the Outdated apps thread as with other apps: https://portableapps.com/development/outdated

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

OK, thanks. Will report such occurrences on that thread in the future.
