It's not that I don't trust you, of course.  
  
But I've just wondered whether scanning downloaded installations (i.e. paf.exe files) can detect viruses within the included programs.
In other words, is it like scanning self-extracting archives?

We use NSIS as a base for the PA.c Installer and specifically use LZMA compression as nearly every antivirus product has built-in support for it and it won't slow down scans as some other compression schemes can. That's also why you can open a PAF.EXE file with 7-Zip and see all the files inside.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
