Could you tell me how you get the URL in App\AppInfo\installer.ini? Maybe from a Google update server?

John T. Haller, who packages Google Chrome Portable, does some sleuthing to get the URL. He can expand on the specifics.
All of our apps have publicly available source code. When it comes to app packaging, the relevant packages are for the PortableApps.com Installer and Launcher. both of these can be found in our sourceforge project.
