Like with other apps, you just need to let us know it's available: https://portableapps.com/development/outdated
This occurs with the majority of apps which have no way of notifying us of new releases. That page is linked from Support and Development so you can find it later.
Unlike Firefox stable, we receive no notice to new Firefox beta availability and it varies what day it is released on, unlike stable which has a specific schedule. The Development channel has the same issue.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
In the future, I'll check the outdated link and post a request there if an app is available but not on portableapps yet. Thanks for the update on the process.
Having a portable Firefox 48 beta to try with the e10s multi-process feature will be very helpful. I know a lot of add ons will need removal or adjustment. Plus, I hope Firefox won't slow to a crawl around 2GB total memory usage like it does now.
