What is the order of release versions?
For example if I take a portable app and make it PortableApps.com Format what should the first release version be called?
Should it be alpha, beta, or dev test 1 or something else?

You'll post it in the beta testing forum, using this format.
The naming convention is based on the original app version, along with Development Test N, with N starting at 1, and incrementing from there. If the base app is updated, the Development Test restarts at 1.
The application template will likely be of great assistance in preparing an application for testing.
