Making New Language Localizations

Sorry I am new here. I am trying to make a portable version of Thunderbird in a new language that doesn't seem to have been translated. How does one do that? What files do I need to get translated? If I get it translated, where would I post it for others to use? Thanks.

What language?

If the language you are thinking about is listed on the Available Localisations page, then you just need to do it on Thunderbird.
What language?

If you want

to translate Thunderbird (whether its the portable version or not doesn't matter) into another language, I'd look first whether your language is already available here
or search on the Mozilla Homepage for a localized version.

Making new language localizaions

Greetings, thanks for your comments. I want a protable version of a Thai Thunderbird that runs on Windows. At this point I understand that some localized versions already exist that I can use but I did not see Thai. Also if I want to start from scratch I want to know how to do that because I may have other languages to do in the future also. Thanks.
