I am running the most current non-beta version of PortableApps on two fully up to date Windows 10 machines. I have also tried disabling live protection with my Nod32 anti-virus. Tried this on two separate machines on different networks and internet connections. Tried both yesterday and today.
PortableApps indicated that an update 1.99 was available for CDex but the update fails with the following message:
The downloaded copy of CDex (http://mirror.cdex.mu/CDex-1.99.exe) is not valid and can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issues. Please try running the updater again when complete.
It has been a good run. This is the first issue I have hit with PortableApps in over 6 years.
Turns out the publisher released a new version and is redirecting the download for the old one to the new one. The installer is keyed to the hash of the old one which we've scanned in 60 antivirus engines as usual, so the installer correctly alerts that the download doesn't match the one it is expecting.
I've built the new release and it is mirroring to our download servers. It will be out once that has completed.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Excellent. Thank you!
