There does already exist a Portable version of Maxthon MX5 officially from Maxthon. However, as is, that version will NOT install on the PortableApps.com platform. Only with the help of a member from the Maxthon forums was I able to install it with a workaround series of manual steps.
If you take a look at the Outdated Official Applications thread, you'll see it's already listed, however has external factors blocking an official release here.

I guess it's now wait for if and whenever it comes out.
