portablefreeware webmaster. I also list portable shareware.
I take request, submission and rant.

I like the site, It is not supposed to be a place to actually download the application, it is a place to see what he has found that is portable and organize it into a subject database of sorts. and then you give you the link to the homepages to learn more and download the applications from the developers themselves if you would like.
Besides the hosting nightmare you wold have to go through to have all of the apps in a download format on the site, most devolpers would want you to go to their site to download it. A sort of control thing if you will. I know a few that use there site as a counter to see how many are downloaded and ues that to see if they should continue development based.
Why must you have an attitude towards albator if you can't even understnad what he is doing. Next time ask a question, such as "Where are the downloads" instead of being ignorant and calling the site stupid. I think you owe him an apology.
This community is here to learn from each other, Not flame each other becuase you are too ignorant or, in your words, stupid to understand that.
Go an learn how to post in a forum and come back after an attitude adjustment.

Portable Software: Just the beginning.
This is not the sort of community that insults each other. If you have to critise something you could at least do it constructivly.
His site is a directory.
You dont download anything off thefreesite.com
Oh and Steve, stop saying Ditto

Why? I am simply saying that I agree with the person aboves view. Just because I never seem to get the these posts first dosent mean I cans still express my opinion.
Sorry if it sounded rude
It was a joke as you always seem to be saying it

Good. I think I took it to literally. LOL
Good work!
345 applications is a good start and a good collection. Well done!
May I suggest that you place them in a single file, since there are no attachments, it would make an easier referral (However, that might be my own opinion!). Since you are listing most of the programs, it would be much easier to access and obtain re-direction.
May I suggest having a site like the doom9.org downloads area. Great links and repository collection for video/audio work.
Again, thanks and good work!

I hope that the database here will be online and fully working, The I could submit many apps and shutdown my site, that has no ads neither bandwith wich cost a lot of money

I had actually been to your site before, and picked up some great apps , including the excellent Foxit PDF reader, DeepBurner and Fusion. I'm not sure what that dude John was whining about; your site has links to the all the app home pages, as well as extra info and tips! That's more than enough! What does he want you to do, come to his house and DL apps for him?
I really appreciate the work you've done.
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
Agreed.
Thank, I just had a Huge update and I am working onphp version and some more content with a collaborator.

Which would be me...
Unfortunately, the atspace.org host doesn't support scripting, so php isn't going to work for now. Does anybody know of a free hosting site that supports this stuff:
- PHP
- FTP
- No ads
- High bandwidth
If you want to see the test page (I'm still working on it, am a little busy right now, look at my blog if you want to know why), head on over to http://nm35.atspace.com -- comments are welcome! (At the moment, there's just the front page, so don't worry about the broken links. My copy of the other pages vanished when my computer died...)
At the moment, we're trying to get some portable suites put together, and we plan to upgrade things to show instructions for portability, screenshots, and the like. If anybody wants to help -- especially as far as hosting is concerned -- drop me a line at nm35.53mngmailcom, or e-mail albator at coresystemsgmailcom.
