Hi . I am new here and feeling very naive and stupid. But, I am also 73 years old, so please be compassionate. I "inherited" a computer from my son and it came pre-installed with AI portable. (I did not ask for this, he just did it.) I now have a new computer, and I transferred all the stuff from that PC to my new one, but AI will not open. My son died and I have no one to ask. Might some kind soul be willing to help me out please--I have no clue what I am doing...

I can, however, suggest using Inkscape, either installed normally, or as a portable app, as it is a similar type of application to Illustrator.
