Fix or Alternative to WIN7 and WMP 12 Retrieve cd info. I have seen a few "fixes" for Windows Media Player or Windows 7, but kind of not sure it is current, I keep hearing they killed off the service to push us to WIN10. Is there are fix or what is an Alternative or three to retrieve the Artist, Album, track information these days ?

Can't guarantee this is what you want, but you could try Picard Portable. It is an mp3 retagger but I know it has CD lookup functionality - I've just never used the CD lookup to know 100% what it does!
If it's the metadata you're after I would start by looking at the alternative players to see what their using, foobar I believe uses freedb, I thinks Discogs is still around, MusicBrainz, CDDB. Grab MP3Tag, TagScanner, foobar, better yet maybe see if the relevant software forums might make mention of where they grab the metadata. I haven't used or needed these tools for a long time so I'm kinda out of the loop.
