Project management

Would it be possible to build something similar to dotProject (http://www.dotproject.net/) at least some of the features associated with it (Gantt/Pert/WBS/etc) Project management tools as Portable.

I realize this may not be a likely candidate as it is more of a project server type of applicatioin, but some of the features would sure be nice to have in a portable environment. Thanks

Dotproject will run on XAMPP.

.

- Extract the dotproject files to a folder off of the webroot for Apache

- Create a new database with phpmyadmin. Setup a new user with password. Set the user permissions on the new db so that the new user can open/read/write the db.

-Follow the directions in the dotproject readme on how to connect the software to the db and setup the db table(s). Hopefully there's an install script.

Another possibility???

What about Open Workbench (http://www.openworkbench.org/)

Looking further into what I need - vs - what is out there...dotproject looks more like a collaboration project server, whereas open workbench is more of JUST the project management tool.

Is this a viable candidate for portablilty? Sorry, I know so little about the requirements that I can't look for myself (not THAT technically gifted)

BTW--I appreciate all the portable stuff ya'll provide to everyone here!

Planner Portable

Try this also https://portableapps.com/node/5160.

At one point I had looked at Open Workbench, see https://portableapps.com/node/4440. I never did get a response either from them. Doesn't matter now as I have lost my backup but then again Planner ain't too bad.
