I cannot get FirefoxPortable to interpret my FirefoxPortable.ini directives.
I have searched the forums for a working solution but nothing yet has worked. I'm using Windows XP and the default installation of Firefox_Portable_2.0.0.3_en-us.paf.exe.
I've tried the version available online at:
https://portableapps.com/downloads/app_extras/firefox_portable/live/FirefoxPortable.ini
and I've also tried the version in the FirefoxPortableSource folder.
Here is my FirefoxPortable.ini:
[FirefoxPortable] FirefoxDirectory=App\firefox ProfileDirectory=Data\profile SettingsDirectory=Data\settings PluginsDirectory=Data\plugins FirefoxExecutable=FirefoxPortable.exe AdditionalParameters= LocalHomepage= DisableSplashScreen=true AllowMultipleInstances=false DisableIntelligentStart=false SkipChromeFix=false SkipCompregFix=false RunLocally=false # The above options are explained in the included readme.txt # This INI file is an example only and is not used unless it is placed as described in the included readme.txt
Can someone else test and tell me if they can get this to work?
Is there a line that I'm missing? Does this file still work for the Firefox 2.0.0.3 version?
Right now all I'm trying to do is disable the splash screen, but would also like to take advantage of the LocalHomepage option and possibly modify the directory structure.

Does the executable have to be renamed to 'firefox.exe' for this to work?
Can you confirm that you're running version 2.0.0.3? If so, did you download it from the site or was it an automated patch or update?
I think that's your problem, that line refers to the Firefox executable in the FirefoxDirectory so try it with firefox.exe and it should work. Also I'm not actually running 2.03 I'm running one of the 3.0 Alphas.
