I keep getting this error when trying to install on an external hard drive. I had this same version installed but it kept freezing on me so I deleted the app and tried to re install it but now it wont even get halfway before throwing this error. Any ideas of what to do? I have screenshots but it seems that this site doesn't allow screenshots to be posted.

It's working here without issue. Please try installing temporarily to your Desktop or other directory on a different drive, that will help narrow down the issue. It could be your antivirus (it's clean), your drive, or a USB issue.

Ok. Im trying on a USB now. Will let you know when it installs or if it messes up again.
This time when installing to a USB it got a lot further (to about the half way point) before i got the error "Extract: error writing to file gimp.tool.blur.png" & this usb has never had gimp installed on it before.
Please try installing it to a local drive, just to your Desktop directory temporarily is fine. This will rule out a USB issue.

Alright. I have to try and clear out some disk space, my shitty hp stream gets a full disk after downloading 1 song so its a pain lol but Ill give it a shot
Well, I wasn't able to get it to install on the c drive, I got another error like the ones above. Since I ended up clearing out space in the c drive I decided to try the desktop version & it worked first try. So idk why the portable one didn't work but I got it on my laptop now so its all good.
It may have been related to the limited amount of free space available?

yo, just an update, not sure if you made changes to the app or what but I just figured I would try to download the portable one more time and it worked just fine haha. Not sure what it was but yeah the portable one didnt mess up like before so just an fyi
