I would like to bump the topic due to a suggestion to the PortableApps.com team.
I would highly suggest to reconsider future support for Google Chrome Portable by PortableApps. In fact the portable version of Google Chrome is not portable at all. Due to the fact that a user Profile in Google Chrome has encoded user's Machine ID and all its data is encrypted, it is not possible to launch Google Chrome Portable with the same profile on any other machine, not to mention that any change in OS of host machine (like reinstallation of OS, or even some changes in NTUSER.dat file of Windows' user profile) causes the profile to stop working and being resetted. As a result: settings, extensions, history etc. are gone.
There's an alternative - Ungoogled Chromium which has the aforementioned profile-per-machine encryption disabled.

FYI (and I hope i don't offend anyone - cause i just wanna share the knowledge)
There's already a portable version available at PortApps:
[link to illegal software site removed by mod JTH]
Which you can just install by manually copying it to the PortableApps folder.
BTW: i am not affiliated in anyway with PortApps - i am just an IT evangelist!
a good source for ChromiumUngoogledPortable
is: https://chromium.woolyss.com/
I personally prefer:
https://github.com/henrypp/chrlauncher from his site:

Edit: Typo
It seems to me the most stable and secure thing whatever we are talking about Chromium.
Greetings
I like his especial pronounced statement:
Supported browser
Chromium and their clones (like Google Chrome, Yandex Browser and other legitimate trojans!).
because all of this stuff is sending hardware-ip - even the ungoogled stuff.
