More Details

Please include the details requested when you posted including "system details (OS version, 32 vs 64-bit, install path, new vs upgrade, etc)." Also, ensure that Internet Explorer can connect to our website. Note that no other browser matters as only IE uses the Windows internet components used by the platform.

OS version — Windows 10 64

OS version — Windows 10 64-bit
install path — D:\PortableApps
new vs upgrade — sorry I don't know what you mean. If it's the Platform than I updated it manually today.

"Also, ensure that Internet Explorer can connect to our website."
— Yes it can.

Upgrade, Other Software

If you updated it manually, it's an upgrade. Is there any other software that could be interfering like a software firewall, antimalware software, etc? Are you behind a corporate/university firewall? Is the platform set to automatic connection in options?

"Is there any other software

"Is there any other software that could be interfering like a software firewall, antimalware software, etc?"
— I don't thing I was messing with these things in recent months.

"Are you behind a corporate/university firewall?"
— No.

"Is the platform set to automatic connection in options?"
— Yes. I tried different modes. And I tried some free proxy addresses. But the error persists. Where can I find good free addresses?

https

For Windows 7 and later, the updater switched to https by default on March 4. That's the only notable change in the platform or web services.

10 minutes ago I was finally able to update apps via platform. All these days before there was this error. What could be the reason for this? What happened today?

Nothing Changed Here

Nothing's changed on our end. Server versions, configurations, etc are all unchanged.
