Not able to save docs in OpenOffice

Hi all, I've installed portableSuite (full version), on my pen drive. Everything is working correctly but I cannot save any doc created with Openoffice, whether a text or a spreadsheet or a presentation. The "save" button is not working at all as well as the "Save" and "Save as" command in the "File" menu. I can only discard the documents and close the program. In the meanwhile AbiWord is working properly. Any suggestion?

Thanks Luca

Using 2.0.1?

If you're using 2.0.1, install the patch that is suggested right on the Portable OO.o page:
https://portableapps.com/apps/office/suites/portable_openoffice

Look below the download button.

That patch doesn't fix this problem

I correctly applied (ie. unzipping in the PortableOpenOffice folder) the patch:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/portableoo/portable_openoffice_2.0.1_...

...to a fresh download of the "Portable Apps Suite" and copied it to my USB drive. But when I launch PortableOpenOffice, the same problem persists! Not being able to save documents at all is a HUGE bug!
Because of this, I think this patch should be merged into the PortableOpenOffice downloadable ASAP, as it's easy to miss that fine print about the patch under that big, juicy red download button here:
https://portableapps.com/apps/office/suites/portable_openoffice

Thanks for doing this project BTW, I think this project is a killer app that so many novice users will love. Novice users face a huge problem as they don't know how to manage files at all, find them, or back them up, thusly hitting a brick wall whenever a hard drive breaks, a virus causes the need for a complete re-install, etc. Saving to the USB drive by default is a huge, huge gain for them!

You need to upgrade Portable OO.o

The version in the suite is 2.0, which had issues.

First, upgrade Portable OO.o in the suite:
https://portableapps.com/support/portable_openoffice#upgrading

Then apply the patch. A new version of the suite is in the works (as is an easier way to upgrade).
