I have a copy of Portable FireFox that I copied off of my USB drive and saved on the desktop of my work PC. So, when I search the internet I am using Portable Firefox but running it off a computer (as opposed to a portable device).
My question: Has any of my personal data been left behind on my work computer?
that you mean Firefox Portable and you deleted the FirefoxPortable directory, then no, no data has been left behind.

Yes, I am referiing to Firefox portable. I launch it from a folder that I copied onto my work desktop. I prefer it to IE because of obvious reasons such as tab browsing, etc.
How do I delete the FirefoxPortable directory??
Also, since I am on a computer with IE, have any index.dat files been written when searching with Firefox?
are no index files written. There is no personal Data whatsoever left behind.
And to delete it, just delete it.
If you want to be absolutely sure, you would have to safe erase it with a special program.
