Well

Well it seems to me that there might be something in OperaUSB for u3 that you should to the developer for and not here but it does seem to me that it's a launcher bug though. Maybe someone else could elaborate on what I said either expand my explanation or come up with a different answer

Not supported here.

OperaUSB for U3 is not a PortableApps.com program. It is not supported here. As far as I know it is not even truly portable. You should contact the developer of the program. If you check where you downloaded it from (probably www.u3.com) they should have a web site or email to refer you.

ok, kids

This is something I actually know something about
LOL

There's several different versions of a "portable" Opera. I've tried almost all of them. and they work - I happen to just LOVE Opera so I pay attention to it's development.

this:
http://www.kejut.com/operaportable
is Opera in One file. Opening the exe file will store a few files in your temp dir (in your c:). These are deleted when you close the program. Trust me, I've looked. As I am working on a project that requires plugging into any computer and not being rude wnough to leave files behind I have checked and double checked this. Make sure your Disk Cashe deletes on Exit as well.

http://www.opera-usb.com/
has two version available for download. One is for a regular flash drives and the other is for U3 drives. You can only use the U3 version on U3 drives and install according to their software. I've done it. It's easy and it works.

When you install the Opera portable on a regular drive it has most of the normal directories found in the usual Opera install. And some people use this Opera on their HD's.

there is also OperaTor

This one I've never used and you would need to investigate.
