there was a small PAF update for Openshot today, OpenShot Portable 3.1.0 Rev 2
but after applying it, it is crashing at start every time i launch it

Unfortunately, it looks like 3.1.0 is a bit buggy. Is it outright crashing or hanging and you have to force close it? I just did a local install of OpenShot 3.1.0 on a clean, fully-updated Windows 11 virtual machine and a similar Windows 10 one and it is hanging on start on both. Try opening up OpenShotPortable\Data\.openshot_qt\ and moving the file openshot.settings out of that directory somewhere else. Then rename your openshot.settings-old file to openshot.settings. Then try starting OpenShot Portable again.
I'm trying various combinations of default settings to get it working on first run on Windows 10 and 11, but it's being difficult. This is the first release of OpenShot this has happened with in 5 years, so I'm hoping the publisher can get it sorted.

i believe a new build v3.1.1 with bugfixes are available on the devs site aren't you gonna build a PAF for this release?
