Is there a solution? FFp persistently shows the popup with "Update available". I've tried all the settings and tricks I can find on the web, but I can't get rid of these notifications....

Yeah, this is super annoying. I found this thread detailing a policies.json fix https://portableapps.com/node/59514. But other people are saying it doesn't work.
EDIT: it appears to be working for me.
