Hoping this is the right place to report : I have enabled the "Minimize to tray instead of taskbar", but the taskbar button is always visible... it does only with PA version.

That option works as expected here.
Take a look in the file: ..\KeePassPortable\App\keepass\KeePass.ini and verify the following setting is being changed.
KeeMinimizeToTray=TrueCancer Survivors -- Remember the fight, celebrate the victory!
Help control the rugrat population -- have yourself spayed or neutered!
