The potplayer app has received several updates now with new features like subtitle generation using whisper so is it possible to repackage/update the app to the latest stable version? Thanks.

Please see Outdated Official Portable Apps. Potplayer is known and is in the list, but there is a backlog of updates so it will happen when it happens.
You can find that post stickied at the top of the General Discussion subforum, and it is linked at the top of the page in the "Before Posting " section when you are writing a new post.
