Just thought I'd mention this - I'm not sure whether it's Firefox itself of the portable version.
In the FAQ is says -
Privacy: Does Firefox Portable leave behind any personal data?
A. No.
I have a master password set etc and all should be fine, but my friend just informed me he knows my password (I'd been using Firefox portable on his laptop.) He has a HP laptop, and it has a recovery partition of some sort to backup the data, he said he was rummaging through it and found a text document with the passwords I'd used.
I'm gonna have a look at this more closely incase I slipped up somehow, but I thought it was worth mentioning seeing as it's a big security issue.

I also use a master password and (if you have a master password) it encrypts all your usernames and passwords.
Firefox Portable shouldn't leave traces on the computer, as it should only use the disk it's running from. Unless, of course, you are using a CD...

I'm not using a disk - HDD MP3 player and I know it should just run off RAM. I still haven't been able to look at my friends laptop to figure out why, but I'll post back when I do.

Looks like your friend has a keylogger, whether he knows it or not.
