Java (jPortable) does not work

Hi,

I installed jPortable in CommonFiles using the instructions provided.
I went to Tools -> Options -> Advanced and choose the Oracle Java there.

When opening any table in Base database I get Java runtime error and the table does not open. It seems that the jPortabile is either old or corrupt and cannot be used with LibreOffice.

What can I do?

Thanks!

Newer Version

I'm pretty sure the current LibreOffice Portable works with OpenJDK JRE Portable Legacy 32-bit but no longer with jPortable. So download that version and then point LibreOffice Portable to it and see if that works for you.

Note that this will change in the next release as it moves to 64-bit.

Just tried this one as well,

Just tried this one as well, it still says "JRE is defective. Please select another one" when I am trying to open LibreOffice Base database.

OpenJDK JRE Legacy with LibreOffice Previous 25.2.7

I've confirmed that the current release of LibreOffice Previous 25.2.7 (the current most recent LibreOffice release) works with OpenJDK JRE Legacy (which is 32-bit) on my Windows 10 64-bit machine after manually selecting it in Advanced.

The upcoming LibreOffice Stable 25.8.x release will be 64-bit and should work with OpenJDK JRE. Note that this version of LibreOffice requires 64-bit and Windows 8.1 or later.
