As all of ya should know Microsoft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or FreeBSD on yer Windows comp.

Not really portable

See my post in https://portableapps.com/node/8657.

Not fully portable
If you have a local installation of CCleaner saving it's settings to the registry, these settings will be deleted by the portable one. So you have to configure both to save to *.ini to be real independent.
But be careful, you will destroy CCleaner's settings on other machines with this 'portable' one.

Well that sucks...

So I'll have to always check to see if CCleaner is installed on the host machine before using it?

Not Anymore...

According to the link the original poster stated there was a section that says...

"Portable
CCleaner can now run from a USB thumbdrive and be installed/run on a computer without a complicated setup process."

All I did was uninstall my old CCleaner and installed the 2.0 Beta version. After it installed, I noticed that there was only the two executable files (you won't need the uninstaller), the history.txt file and three ini files. I copied all files to the proper location I wanted (\portableapps\ccleaner) and put the files there.

I saw no problems running from my USB drive with CCleaner also installed on the computer. I'm glad they finally got that worked out.

One thing you forgot to mention

In settings make the save all settings to an .ini file. Else you have to reset the settings every time you go to a different computer.
